Augmented Reality for the Presentation of Cultural Heritage: On-Site Application and Evaluation of a Model

This paper comes out of a scientific study concerning development an AR model for the presentation archaeological site Alexandria Troas visitor experience, and on-site application this model, through case, namely Podium (or Forum) Temple, to investigate nature that experience provided by its implications as well. The is established upon proposition “AR tailored fit provide compatible, accessible, sustainable historical built environments archeological sites public while respecting much problem(atics) coming along with norms privileges heritage preservation conservation.” Departing from ultimate proposition, it sets framework questions address. provides summary whole research, followed detailed description methodology process developed model’s application, succinct findings, finally, account research means testing questions. Findings confirm assumptions deriving initial showed great potential towards end expected. A number issues problems were surfaced well, some which are oriented technologies itself, others related limitations proposed execution.
